Dealers on Art Basel Miami Beach 2008
Most dealers arrived at Art Basel Miami Beach with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised by the response. Serious collectors who stayed away during the last three frenzied years returned to look for good value works.
Dealers had brought some of their best pieces but were being forced by collectors to be more flexible on their pricing, with even some of the harder operators reducing prices to get sales.
The work being shown had changed with smaller works proving more popular that the bigger pieces of previous years.
