Edward Dolman leaves Christie's for Qatar

Christie's president Edward Dolman is resigning from his post after 27 years of service to become the managing director of the Qatar Museums Authority. He will supervise a network of museums in Doha, Qatar's capital. The Museums Authority’s most recent project, scheduled for late 2014, is the reopening of the National Museum of Qatar in a new building designed by Jean Nouvel. Dolman will join Peggy Loar, director of the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami, who was appointed to run the National Museum in Qatar.
