Christie's president Edward Dolman is resigning from his post after 27 years of service to become the managing director of the Qatar Museums Authority. He will supervise a network of museums in Doha, Qatar's capital. The Museums Authority’s most recent project, scheduled for late 2014, is the reopening of the National Museum of Qatar in a new building designed by Jean Nouvel. Dolman will join Peggy Loar, director of the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami, who was appointed to run the National Museum in Qatar.
