Larry Smallwood to be the first deputy director of Mass MoCA

Larry Smallwood

Larry Smallwood has become the first deputy director of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, North Adams. Smallwood first joined the museum in 1998, but has been an independent curator since 2006. Last year, he organised a Steve McQueen retrospective at the Art Institute of Chicago and has put together shows featuring artists such as Alfredo Jaar and Robert Irwin.
