New York’s Collective design fair, which launched in May on Pier 57, is moving to the James Farley Post Office on West 33rd Street (right). The second edition of the fair, which will coincide with Frieze New York (9-12 May 2014), is due to take place at the Skylight venue inside the Moynihan Station area of the Beaux Arts building. Twenty-three established and emerging Modern and contemporary design dealers, 20 of them from the US, participated in the inaugural edition, which drew 5,500 visitors. The fair’s organisers, which include the architect Steven Learner, plan to expand the number of international dealers and special events. “For me, as an interior designer and a collector, I just found that New York did not have a design fair of the calibre that it deserves,” Learner says.
