Former Deitch artist Raqib Shaw will now be represented by New York’s Pace Gallery. The London-based artist is following one-time Deitch director Nicola Vassell who joined the 50-year-old Pace in spring this year. Vassell and Shaw collaborated on the artist’s “Garden of Earthly Delights” show at Deitch Projects in 2005. Shaw, who has had exhibitions at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and Tate Britain, is one of the last Deitch artists to select a gallery. Others still to decide include Whitney Biennial artist Tauba Auerbach and the Keith Haring Foundation.
