Saatchi’s Doig goes to Georgia

British collector Charles Saatchi sold Peter Doig’s White Canoe, 1991, for £5.7m ($11.3m) at Sotheby’s London in February 2007 setting a record for the most expensive work by a living European artist which then passed to Lucian Freud and then Damien Hirst. The Doig was bought by Georgian mining magnate Boris Ivanishvili
