Sale of cow dung supports charity

Not Vital sculptures sold at the fair go towards a school in Niger

Not Vital, (Mongolian) Cow Dung, 2013

The Swiss artist Not Vital has made a series of “cow dung” sculptures in bronze, which are being sold for charity. The works, available from Ben Brown Fine Arts (3E16), range in price from €2,000 to €6,000. Proceeds from sales previously went towards a burns unit in a hospital in Nepal, after the artist met the father of a child there who was scalded by boiling milk. Any profits made from sales at Art Basel Hong Kong will go towards a school in Niger.
