Site Santa Fe is bringing back its biennial. The New Mexico event, which was the first international contemporary art biennial to be established in the US, has been on hold since 2010. The 2014 edition will be thematically linked to the shows in 2016 and 2018 and will be organised by a team of four curators, including the institution’s director, Irene Hofmann. “We wanted to reestablish the focus of Site’s exhibition series, by using its focus as its strength,” she says. The new series is meant to “reinvigorate” the biennial model. Further details are due to be announced on Friday at the Core Club in New York.
