Thursday 17 October, 3pm: Beatriz Milhazes in conversation with Martin Roth

Beatriz Milhazes lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Her paintings draw on Modernism and Brazilian imagery and are in the collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan, and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid. Martin Roth is the director of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London

Friday 18 October, 3pm: John Currin in conversation with Letizia Treves

John Currin is based in New York. His paintings, which draw on a broad range of influences including Renaissance paintings, are represented in New York’s Museum of Modern Art and Whitney Museum of American Art, the Tate Collection, London, and the Centre Pompidou, Paris. Letizia Treves is the head of the curatorial department and the curator of Italian and Spanish paintings 1600-1800 at the National Gallery, London

Saturday 19 October, 3pm: Catherine Opie in conversation with Michael Govan

Catherine Opie lives and works in Los Angeles and produces photographs that both embrace and challenge art-historical genres. Recent exhibition venues include the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Photographers’ Gallery in London and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Opie is the 2013 recipient of the Julius Shulman Excellence in Photography Award. Michael Govan is the chief executive and director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art

Sunday 20 October, 3pm: Richard Wright in conversation with Jasper Sharp

Richard Wright is based in Glasgow and uses painting techniques to transform architectural spaces. He was the first contemporary artist to be commissioned for the reopening of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, and his works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, and the Tate Gallery, London. Jasper Sharp is the curator of Modern and contemporary art at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, and the commissioner of the Austrian Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale

Frieze Masters Talks take place in the auditorium at the fair. Seats can be booked at the auditorium from 12pm on the day
