Three arrested in connection with Rotterdam Kunsthal robbery
Dutch police confirm that the suspects have been arrested in Romania

Three men have been arrested in Romania on suspicion of being involved in the robbery of the Rotterdam Kunsthal, Dutch police confirmed today. “They are arrested in Romania for a Romanian matter, but obviously we have questions for those three as well,” a spokesman for the Rotterdam-Rijnmond police said in a statement.
The robbery took place at 3:15am on 16 October and although the alarm sounded, the thieves had left by the time police arrived. The stolen works by artists including Picasso, Matisse, Monet and Gauguin have not been recovered. The paintings were on loan to the museum from the Triton Foundation and had been amassed by the Dutch millionaire Willem Cordia.
