Happy Birthday Ellsworth Kelly (part 3)
Congratulations are in order for the modernist painter Ellsworth Kelly, who just turned 90. In this in-depth interview (part 3 of 3), Kelly talks about the highs and lows his career as an artist, recalling his return to America in 1954, Kelly says he felt he "had to apologise for being a colour painter". The artist was speaking with our founder Anna Somers Cocks at the Art Basel art fair in Switzerland in 2008. To watch the rest, go to our video page.
