Ukrainian steel billionaire Victor Pinchuk is financing a new contemporary arts centre in Kiev. It will be a multi-functional cultural centre with a permanent display from Pinchuk’s collection, as well as spaces for international loan exhibitions. The Kiev government approved the preliminary concept at the end of October, and Pinchuk will invite some of the world’s leading architects to come up with a design. In 2006 he opened the Pinchuk Art Centre in Kiev, to show international and Ukrainian contemporary art.
