New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has teamed up with the Hong Kong-based Asian Art Archive to document the rise of contemporary Chinese art. Leading artists’ student shows in the 1980s can be found at www.china1980s.org, while an accompanying book published by MoMA contains artists’ manifestos and other primary sources from that decade, which have been translated into English.
