Although Deitch Projects officially stopped selling work when Jeffrey Deitch became director of the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art last summer, the gallery is now in the process of establishing an archive of exhibitions, projects, and performances presented between 1996 and May 2010. The archive will be housed in Deitch Projects’ original Soho building, which is undergoing renovation. The archive will be made available to the public by appointment as early as spring 2011. Although the gallery says no official list of Deitch-represented artists exists, it has worked with a total of 61 artists over the years.
