The art museum at University College London (UCL) reopened in April after a 21-month refurbishment. “UCL Art Museum has evolved in recent years from its original purpose as a traditional print room into a multi-purpose exhibition, research, teaching and project space. Its design and layout have been upgraded for the first time to reflect the change in the museum’s programme and its audiences,” says Nina Pearlman, the museum’s manager. The DCMS Wolfson Museum and Galleries Improvement Fund awarded a £40,000 grant to the refurbishment project. The inaugural show, Re-Launch (until 12 June), features artists from London’s Slade School of Fine Art.
