A retrospective of works by the late Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers will open at the Museum of Modern Art in New York next year organised by Christophe Cherix, the chief curator of prints and illustrated books. The Belgian artist, poet and film-maker is also the subject of several shows across Europe. A fictional museum founded at Broodthaers’s Brussels home is the centrepiece of a show at the Monnaie de Paris (until 5 July), while his installation A Winter Garden II, 1974, is at the Venice Biennale (until 22 November).
