Cutting-edge canine architecture reaches Shanghai's Himalayas Museum this week. Conceived by Japanese designer Kenya Hara, Architecture for Dogs features no ordinary dog houses (8 August-11 October). There are designer habitats by Shigeru Ban, Kengo Kuma and Atelier Bow-Wow (of course) among others on show. For Shanghai, Hara has created an bigger version of his “D-Tunnel”, so visitors can go walkies through the space and get a chance to see the world from a dog’s perspective. The show includes a designated space allowing pooches to try out the different designer “houses” outside. Meanwhile indoors, small dogs can even get to sniff around the show, just so long as their owners carry them at all times.
