What do the novelist Michael Cunningham, the philosopher Peter Singer, the actress Whoopi Goldberg and the artist Tracey Emin have in common? Why, an interest in karma, of course. All four are scheduled to appear in talks as part of the Rubin Museum of Art’s forthcoming event series Karma: Cause, Effect and the Illusion of Fate. The three-month programme examines “examples of collective cause and effect—most notably, global climate change,” according to a release. The series begins on 11 September.
