Poptastic Peake's new groove

Brit artist Eddie Peake is making his presence felt with a major show at the Barbican (The Forever Loop, until 10 January 2016) and a cheeky interview in the publication London Burning: Portraits from a Creative City (TransGlobe Publishing/Thames & Hudson). Peake has now produced an electronic club track for The Vinyl Factory label along with collaborators and fellow artists, Prem Sahib and George Henry Longly. The single, Death Drive, invokes “the heady dance floors of their Anal House Meltdown parties”, says a statement (these notorious bashes are sometimes held in Dalston, east London). “We wanted it to have an epic and odyssey-like feeling,” say the trio of practitioners, who have also created unique images featuring lovers and friends for the record cover.
