Niche Old Masters fair folds into Paris Biennale

Paris Tableau, which was held in the Palais Brongniart in Paris last month (12-13 November), was the last edition of the Old Masters fair in its current form. From next year, the event will be part of the Biennale des Antiquaires, which will be held annually after its next edition (10-18 September 2016). Maurizio Canesso, the founder of Galerie Canesso and one of the three dealers who co-founded Paris Tableau in 2011, says: “It is logical that the two organisations team up so that we can focus our energies and expertise. It would be counterproductive to hold Paris Tableau only two months after La Biennale.” Paris Tableau closed two days earlier than planned this year after the terrorist attacks on the capital.
