A new private museum inside a renovated Berlin bunker combines contemporary art and Asian artefacts. The British architect John Pawson transformed a Second World War telecoms base into a home for the Feuerle Collection. The collection of the consultant, curator and former dealer Désiré Feuerle includes Chinese furniture ranging from 200BC to the 18th century, Khmer sculpture and contemporary works by Anish Kapoor and Zeng Fanzhi, among others. The museum will be one of the main venues of the ninth Berlin Biennale (4 June-18 September). It will officially open to the public in October.
