Hamilton gets an eyeful of Uma

The American actor George Hamilton seems to be a fan of the US Pop artist Mel Ramos, who is known for his provocative paintings pairing female nudes with brand logos. Hamilton was a guest at last month’s launch of an exhibition dedicated to Ramos (until 30 November) at Galerie Gmurzynska in Zug, northern Switzerland. “The artist’s signature style has been known for more than 50 years, dialectically presenting the daringly beautiful and the intellectually interrogative,” the organisers say. The show includes a picture of the film star Uma Thurman in her birthday suit (Mädchen, 2009).
