The former home of the singer Prince, who died in April, aged 57, will open to the public as a museum this month. The mansion, known as Paisley Park, has a ground floor the size of a football pitch (65,000 sq. ft), along with recording studios, rehearsal space and other amenities that ensured the stylish, eccentric musician could work whenever and however he wanted. The museum in Chanhassen, Minnesota, will be operated by Core Media (formerly CKX), which also manages Elvis Presley’s Graceland. Tours are scheduled to begin on 6 October. The New York Times reports that, in keeping with Prince’s dietary preferences, the food on offer will be vegetarian.
