The Marseille-born artist Abraham Poincheval is known for his hair-raising feats of endurance, such as living inside the hollowed-out carcass of a bear at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris in 2014. An exhibition of Poincheval’s works at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris next year (3 February-8 May) will throw light on the artist’s motivations and preparations for his off-beat projects (devotees of the artist can see installations and images linked to his latest quirky initiative: floating down the river Rhône in a giant glass bottle). Poincheval will unveil two new performance pieces at the Palais de Tokyo (we’re already on tenterhooks).
