Pierce Brosnan the artist: licensed to thrill?

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan is a budding painter—and the Irish actor plans to show his latest works at an (as yet unconfirmed) gallery in Paris later this year. Brosnan, who trained as an illustrator at Central Saint Martins art school in London in the late 1960s, often mentions his favourite works of art and museums on social media, and the Mamma Mia! crooner has now leaked some sneak peeks of his garish Van Gogh-esque creations online. “There’s some kind of gesture of form and colour for sure [in the work],” Brosnan said on US TV. The jury is out on whether he really does have a GoldenEye.
