“It’s the fourth time this evening we’ve called 69!” the artist Martin Kersels marvelled, late into Mitchell-Innes & Nash’s bingo fundraiser for Independent Curators International on 30 May. Prizes included works by Chris Johanson and Justine Kurland, writings by Donald Judd, VIP tickets to the Global Citizen Festival, and a high-end nails job. “Are you gonna get HER nails done?” Kersels asked a woman in a floral print pantsuit, pointing to the dog she’d brought along.
