The first edition of the new Art Basel Miami Beach was cancelled in the wake of 11 September; now the little sister of Art Basel has announced its dates for this year. The fair, which will combine a contemporary art show with a programme of special exhibitions and “crossover events” held in and around the city’s Art Deco district, will take place from 5 to 8 December. Over 150 galleries are participating, and eagerly awaiting the “snowbirds” that fly in to escape the winter chills further north. Website: http://www.art.ch/miami_beach/
