National Trust membership reaches 3 million

The largest conservation body in Europe

The National Trust has announced that it now has three million members, many recently recruited as a result of the trust’s membership campaign, making it the largest conservation body in Europe. The majority of the three million members lives in England, and there are also 12,864 in Scotland, 4,429 in Switzerland, 1,776 in France, 1,378 in Australia and three in Lithuania.
