French billionaire François Pinault is in talks to send a selection of works from his collection of modern and contemporary art, one of the largest in the world, to Korea and Brazil. An exhibition drawn from Pinault’s holdings is due to open in Seoul later this year (the venue is unconfirmed). “For Seoul, the first exhibition is scheduled for the autumn and other projects are still under discussion. We are at the beginning of negotiations for Brazil, which will probably take place in 2014,” said a spokeswoman for Pinault. The luxury goods magnate is showing two more slices of his collection in Venice: “In Praise of Doubt” at Punta della Dogana (until 31 December 2012) and “The World Belongs to You” at Palazzo Grassi (until 31 December). Artists represented in his holdings include Matthew Day Jackson, Nicholas Hlobo, Subodh Gupta and Paul McCarthy.
