Scottish property magnate David Roberts says he now aims to open his new public space in north London next September. Plans for the venue in Camden, north London, were initially announced in late 2007. Roberts, who reportedly owns more than 2,000 works of art, initially attracted attention in 2006 when he bought all eight of Keith Coventry’s works from an exhibition at London’s Fine Art Society, even though some were unfinished. He has recently bought works by Matthew Day Jackson and Rodney Graham.
