The naming rights for the institution are still up for grabs

The Miami-based art collector and dealer Gary Nader (right) has announced plans to build a museum dedicated to Modern and contemporary art from Latin America. The institution, which will display works from his own collection, will be a “grand new construction” measuring around 90,000 sq. ft. Nader says that he has “been collecting major pieces for display in this museum for more than 25 years. It’s 500 pieces strong.” He says that “collectors, developers, governments, corporations and foundations” will fund the venue; naming rights will also be offered in a bid to generate income. He plans to build the new museum in the next four years. On his website, Nader says that he provides “professional services to assist a private clientele, corporations and museums with the acquisition or sale of Latin American, Modern and contemporary art”.
