Hot on the heels of the announcement that the estate of the German artist Sigmar Polke is now represented by David Zwirner, the gallery is presenting Polke’s Auto (Jeep) (Car [Jeep]) (1992), at Frieze Masters (FM, F11). The painting was in the artist’s collection until his death in 2010. He loaned it to major exhibitions, including one at the Tate Liverpool in 1995. This marks the first time the painting has been for sale.
