In time for the opening of Peter Fischli and David Weiss’s Guggenheim retrospective in New York next month, the Public Art Fund is painting the Swiss art duo’s 50ft-tall motivational mural How to Work Better (1991) on the side of a Manhattan building on the corner of Houston and Mott streets (5 February-1 May). Sourced from instructions given to staff at a factory in Thailand, the mural lists ten directives for increasing productivity, including “Be Calm” and “Learn to Listen”. The Guggenheim show, also titled How to Work Better, is due to open on 5 February and run until 20 April.
