The UK artist Jonathan Yeo and 103-year-old Cuban-American Carmen Herrera are the latest art stars to contribute to an exhibition and sale of works in aid of the charity Cure Parkinson’s Trust. Each artist has been invited to create a unique work using a bespoke Perspex box measuring 20 cm3 for the second edition of Cure3, which this year includes works by 11 architects such as John Pawson. “The cube can be used in any way the artist chooses: as frame, as support or to contain,” a statement says. The cubed creations will be displayed at Bonhams in London (25-28 October) and will be available to buy via cure3.co.uk from 8am on 26 October. The charity initiative, which is devised by the curatorial collective Artwise, will help to fund research into slowing, stopping or reversing Parkinson’s, a degenerative condition.
