The photographs are included in an exhibition of the Spanish artist's sculptures at the Centro Botín in Santander


Joan Miró and the Spanish ceramacist Josep Llorens Artigas during their visit to see the cave drawings at Altamira in 1957.


This picture from 1968 shows Miró painting La Caresse d’un oiseau (the caress of a bird) at The Maeght Foundation, Saint-Paul de Vence.


The artist gazes upon Jeune fille s’evadant (girl escaping) in 1968 at The Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul de Vence. The work combines a red pair of mannequin legs with a water hydrant head and sponge torso (out of shot).
