Serpentine Galleries’ patron gives digital gift

A work by the New York-based digital artist Tabor Robak will go on show at the Serpentine Galleries in London after one of the institution’s patrons acquired and donated the piece. Spas Roussev, a Belgian-born, London-based businessman, “has generously given [the work] to the Serpentine to display on a screen in one of its public areas,” says a spokeswoman for the gallery. Roussev, who is the co-founder and chairman of the technology company Telelink EAD, has long been a supporter of the Serpentine: together with his wife, Diliana Roussev, he was a founding benefactor of its Sackler gallery. The pair also sit on the Serpentine’s Council Committee, which requires its members to donate £50,000 over a three-year period.
