The Victoria and Albert Museum has announced that the Samsung Gallery of Korean Art will open in December 1992. The opening of the Gallery has been made possible by £430,000 sponsorship from Samsung, the Korean consumer electronics company. It will provide a permanent home for the V&A’s collection of more than 600 artefacts which is especially strong in ceramics, metalwork and lacquer.
