After launching its first edition with 59 galleries in 2014, the 2015 Singapore Art Fair, whose organisers are also behind the Beirut Art Fair, is now on hold. Organisers say they are working to confirm a venue and schedule for 2016. “Our buyers and galleries gave us feedback that November is not good, so we are trying to find a better time,” says Jason Ng, the Singapore-based partner of the fair. Ng also acknowledges dealers’ complaints that there are not enough buyers in the city of five million people.
