Scottish foundation goes mobile

The Fleming-Wyfold Foundation, which owns one of the largest collections of Scottish art outside of a public institution, plans to close its London gallery at the end of March. The organisation will adopt a “museum-without-walls” approach similar to that of the Chicago-based Terra Foundation, says James Knox, the foundation’s director (and the former managing director of The Art Newspaper). Money saved will help fund “cultural diplomacy, education and the care of the collection”, Knox says. It also plans to support exhibitions such as My Love Is Like a Red Red Rose at the Château de Montbéliard (until 28 February).
