One of the most successful arty charitable initiatives—the Cure3 scheme in aid of the Cure Parkinson’s Trust charity—launches its third edition with a roster of stellar names lined up this year. The bright idea behind the venture—each artist has been invited to create a unique work using a bespoke Perspex box measuring 20x20 cm3—has been fine tuned since the project launch in 2017. This year, artists such as Hurvin Anderson, Rana Begum, Oliver Beer, Bouke de Vries, Do Ho Suh and Chantal Joffe are squaring up and taking on the Cure3 challenge. And in a clever twist, a selection of high-profile fashion designers, including Giles Deacon, Roksanda and Monika Dugar, will also take part, giving their own take on the Cure3 concept. All of these cubed creations will be displayed at Bonhams in London (5-8 September) and available to buy via cure3.co.uk from 8am on 8 September. Sales will raise funds and awareness for curative Parkinson’s research—so please cast your eye over the delectable Perspex pieces this autumn and dig deep to help find a cure for this degenerative condition.
