Visitors to New York this week can take a side swerve off the art-fair circuit and head to a pop-up exhibition in Tribeca that focuses on the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who fostered numerous art world connections. The Washington, DC-based Institute for Primary Facts has transformed Mriya Gallery into the Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Reading Room. It holds 3,437 bound volumes encompassing all of the released Epstein files. “We embarked on this project because the American public deserves the truth about the entanglements between Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump. The sheer scale of the printed documents—the large share implicating Donald Trump—helps keep this story front and centre,” says an institute spokesperson. (The president has consistently denied wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.) The Institute for Primary Facts says that it took around a month to print the 3.5 million pages on view. The room, open until 21 May, is free entry but advance booking is advised.
